23 August 2024, Sydney – AbbVie (NYSE: ABBV) Australia has been named on the 2024 Australia’s Best Workplaces list by Great Place to Work® for the 11th consecutive year, applauding their employees who each individually create the culture that has led to the recognition, year on year.
AbbVie Australia ranked 22nd in the 2024 Best Workplaces list, medium category (up from 24th place in 2023), with 91% of employees agreeing that AbbVie is a great place to work.
The culture at AbbVie is characterised by a strong sense of camaraderie and care among employees, who feel empowered to make a positive impact and can be their true selves at work. There is a shared belief that the company's culture fosters equity, diversity, and inclusion, creating an environment where everyone feels valued and respected.
Nathalie McNeil, Vice President and General Manager, AbbVie Australia and New Zealand, says this recognition is testament to the people of AbbVie, and is not a leadership award.
“It’s undeniable how strong our culture is, and it is a testament to the people. Our standards are high, we work hard, we care about the patients we are serving, and we are constantly reinventing ourselves to do better.
“Recent years have proven that change is constant. Despite the challenges this creates, I am so proud of the AbbVie team who each show up every day and contribute to making this one of the best workplaces in Australia. This accolade is truly in recognition of them,” said Ms McNeil.
“We value a diverse workforce, and our people tell us they feel recognised and appreciated for the work they do. Embracing Equity, Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion is not just a choice, but an integral part of our principles and identity. It shapes the way we work, treat one another, and ultimately drives our success,” she said.
One of AbbVie’s employees, Huw Phillips, National Sales Manager reflects on his career journey with AbbVie and says: “AbbVie has given me more career development opportunities and life experiences than I can ever wish for. I have found the right place to work.”
